In yin yoga, floor-based postures are held from 3-7 minutes each, to passively lengthen the connective tissues in the body. These long holds provide deep sensation, creating a quiet challenge for both the body and mind. Yin yoga is the perfect complement to any active yoga practices or exercise, helping to increase flexibility, range of motion, and overall well-being. In this class, the yin practice will be coupled with a meditation practice, as the two modalities serve to enhance one another.
